Food for a Little One that Doesn't Want Food

How can they survive with no food and playing so much?

My oldest son Rafael, he is 2 years and 5 months old, is on a terrible stage with his food. The only thing he wants to eat is the beloved Hi Five Chicken nuggets and Dinosaur pasta, the problem is not that as I can make him them, the problem is that he is probably getting sick of those options too : (

After a big day playing with them and doing some work I decide to make him some dinner, what a waist of time, he didn't even touch and even worse is that he looks at it and says a big "YAK".

My heart just breaks in little pieces and I get angry and send him to bed without anything in his little tummy!

My heart breaks even more just in thinking that he went to bed with empty tummy.

It has been like that now for the last couple of months, not even his juice that I make fresh almost every morning, with some veggies and fruits and he just used to smash it in no time, almost a litter in the morning and more if had left over a bit later but now he hardly drinks a cup!

Is it worth getting stressed? I guess if he gets really hungry he will eat what is on offer because hungry people eat anything. He has plenty of food available and they are usually the healthy option so he won't starve I don't think.

My heart still hurts though!

Mums x Dads

We are very different, mothers and fathers are different in every single way.

The other day I went to a play ground and I saw this father pushing his little daughter (around 8 months) on the swing, but the swing was that one that doesn't have the protection chain or belt, not even my 2 year old son goes on it. The problem wasn't him pushing her quite hard I can say, the problem was when I saw the poor little girl falling from it slowly! I bet it wouldn't happen to you mum. Would it??

My husband came the other day from the playground with my 2 year old son and said like it is very normal and common, "He got bitten by a dog" and I just couldn't believe what I was hearing with my little years. It wasn't too bad but it probably wouldn't happen if I was there, it could happen, but probably wouldn't.

I am not saying us mum are perfect an nothing happens when we have our kids because we do get together  and talk lots, we have coffees but our eyes and years are always turned to our kids, we try to prevent before something bad happens, we have common sense!

Fathers, maybe not all, but they take all the risks, they don't think something bad can happen, everything is fun and not dangerous at all.

In my household is not different at all. It is always Me x Husband, Mum x Dad.

No rights or wrong, just different thinking and acting.

You can see how safely my husband plays with my kids : )

A Day Off

Some days are just hard hey!

There are some days, like today, you wake up wanting to be anywhere but home, probably wanted to be in a day spa, a day doing massage, facials, manicure, probably a weekend or maybe a week away.

The nights with little sleep or no sleep, the unstoppable cleaning, washing clothes, feeding (them, not you).

Your head is just exhausted, your body is not doing what needs to be done anymore.

A day off is probably something you have to have soon, but is that such a thing? Even when you have a "day off" you still have to do things, you still have to worry about food, cleaning, washing.

Today I wish I was in a island, with just some friends, no man at all, KIDS are prohibited in this island. The problem is, we probably will be thinking if our kids are eating ok, if they had enough water, if who ever is looking after them are doing everything right.

That is why I need wine! Do you?

You know you worry about your children like no one else would and you know a Day Off doesn't exist for mums and if you get one, when you get home you, for sure will have double cleaning to do, double washing to replace the day you missed.

I wish I was in my dream Island right now!
